Baroda High School, Danteshwar, English Medium was started in 1996 by Baroda Lions Club Education Trust (BLCET). It follows curriculum as per the guidelines of the NEP 2020.
It is an English Medium, co-educational school having classes from Pre-Primary to Std. 8 for Morning Shift.
Foundational Stage (Jr. KG to Std. 2)
We focus on play-based and activity-based learning that builds strong base in literacy and numeracy through stories, games, toys and puzzles. We emphasis on language development, motor skills, social-emotional growth and learning through art, music, dance, outdoor play and hands-on experiments. There are no formal exams but continuous observation and assessment of child’s progress is done. There are safe, colorful and child-friendly classrooms with dedicated activity areas.
Preparatory Stage (Std.3 to 5)
As it builds on the foundation with more formal but interactive learning, we focus on reading, writing, speaking fluently and basic numeracy concepts. Discovery-based learning starts with experiments, field trips and group discussions with more emphasis on conceptual understanding. Assessments are competency-based, not rote-memorization. The focus in the preparatory stage remains on play, discovery, activity-based and interactive learning and cognitive development of a child. The focus is still on language and numeracy skills.
Middle Stage (Std.6 to 8)
Here the focus is more on Experiential learning and Critical Thinking rather than rote learning. Learning and discussion of more abstract concepts in subjects like science, mathematics, arts, social sciences etc. is stressed upon.
